The battery unit runs about a month on 1 D size battery. The battery unit covers about 200 to 400 square feet, and the electric unit covers about 600 to 800 square feet. WARRANTY is 1 year for the electric and the battery unit. The warranty on the battery unit does not cover the contacts if the battery is left in and corrodes them. A replacement motor assembly can be ordered for 7.50 plus shipping. The electric motor is not replaceable. The motor is a sealed computer fan and although quiet and reliable they are very  fragile and should not be touched, as the fan blades break very easy. The warranty does not cover broken fan blades.
